In questo basso le corde sono raddoppiate come in una chitarra a 12 corde.
Le corde piu' piccole sono accordate un ottava sopra al normale.
Questo gli conferisce un suono singolare e particolarmente adatto agli assoli.
E' possibile usare differenti accordature basate sulle terze, le quinte e le settime.

In this 8 strings bass all strings were doubled like a 12 string guitar.
The lighter string is placed above the standard string and tuned one octave higher than usual.
This give a unique tone which is very suitable for bass solos.
I's possible use different tunings based around the major third, the perfect fifth and the major seventh.
